Membership

United Philanthropy Forum is a membership network of nearly 100 regional and national philanthropy-serving organizations (PSOs), representing more than 7,000 funders, who work to strengthen, lead, inform, mobilize and support the philanthropy sector.

Our members are associations and networks that are a part of what is sometimes called the "philanthropy infrastructure." Forum members run the training programs that support the professional development of philanthropy staff. They conduct the research to help philanthropy understand what works, and what doesn’t. They build the technology platforms that make communication and learning possible. They hold the conferences and convenings that gather philanthropy leaders together and provide them the resources, shared learning and connections to improve their work. They advocate for new levels of excellence to push us all to do better — and for policies that create the legal environment in which we work and create more vibrant and equitable communities. They mobilize funding to help philanthropic dollars get to the people and communities that can best do the work. In short, they make philanthropy more effective in its quest to make the world better.

Where Philanthropy's Infrastructure Comes Together

The Forum is a vibrant network that is leading the philanthropy field by activating the talent, resources and connections of our members in a proactive way. Being a member of the Forum is about much more than just receiving services in return for your investment. It’s about being an active participant in an interactive network that places a strong value on sharing, learning and connecting among your network colleagues.

Membership Benefits

Networking and Community Building

The Forum network and its participants are a vital component of the success of the Forum. We provide spaces for the staff and CEOs of PSOs to connect and learn from peers throughout the year.

This includes active listservs and regular calls throughout the year via our Peer Communities. As needed, we also hold space for members to connect on timely issues and trends.

Use our searchable membership directory to find other PSOs and contacts to connect with and the Forum team is also available to help recommend others with similar interests or job functions.

Learn About Our 2022-2023 Dues Restructuring Process

United Philanthropy Forum has undergone a member dues review process over the past two years to take an in-depth look at how our member dues are structured and determine how the Forum can achieve greater parity between members. While our network evolved into ONE community of regional and national PSOs, our business model has not evolved with the network.
